Wax Poetics Japan No.05からマンガ連載をスタート。 【オヴァートン・ロイド】 パーラメント／ファンカデリックのアートワークを手掛けてきたビジュアル・アーティスト。ブーツィー・コリンズなどのPファンクのジャケや、ジョージ・クリントン「Atomic Dog」のミュージック・ビデオも制作。 【マン・ワン】 世界的に知られているエアロソル／グラフィティ・アーティストであり、同時にMTV、アディダス、ソニーなどに依頼されてコミッション作品の壁画も描いている。ロスのクルーエスト・ギャラリーの創始者でもある。 【グスタヴォ・アルベルト・ガルシア・ヴァカ】 ビジュアル・アーティスト兼文筆家。彼のアートはアリス／ジョン・コルトレーン財団、ジェフ・ミルズ、アンダーグラウンド・レジスタンス、ホアン・アトキンスのメトロプレックス、そしてフランソワKのディープ・スペースにも使用されている。

Welcome to Styles from the Outer Dimensions! This is the beginning of the journey through time, space and funk. Episode 1 shows how the Millennium Multiplier mothership arrives to a planet where everyone is sleepwalking. The woman walking only cares about money. The man walking wants to be famous. The character texting only cares about girls. The dog thinks that his day will come someday, but is doing nothing today. So then the Millennium Multiplier mothership wakes up everyone on the planet. All characters wake up and see the importance of having fun, being positive, enjoying life, dancing and being true to yourself. The mothership will be part of every episode, under new names each time. Some of the characters from Episode 1 will return in future episodes. The mothership is protecting us always.
ABOUT THE IMAGES:
This artwork is very special – it is one of the artworks created during the first time Overton, MAN ONE and I painted live together. The live painting was at Crewest Gallery in downtown L.A. in October 2006. DJ Nomadico [from Detroit Techno group Underground Resistance] was the DJ that night – he created a tight mix of Techno, Funk, Jazz, Hip Hop and Electro. Overton drew the mothership flying over my digital artwork landscapes. MAN ONE did the lettering that says TOMORROW. That night inspired me to start Unification Theory.
Check these photos of Unification Theory painting live with George Clinton at the Crash Mansion Los Angeles in June 2008. P-Funk tore the roof off and the RZA jumped onstage and rapped during the show! Dr. Funkenstein brought the good times!
